19120 Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne
Lot - Dordogne Valley
On its own island in the River Dordogne, this peaceful garden campsite boasts a heated swimming pool and separate children’s paddling area set against a background of palms, banana trees and hibiscus (watch out for monkeys and giraffes!). For a trip out, try the mediaeval village of Beaulieu or the dramatic Gouffre de Padirac, Rocamadour. Alternatively, cruise down the river on the picturesque local gabarre or sample the paella and music back at the campsite.
The + points
The lovely verdant setting close to the shops in the medieval village of Beaulieu.
The host of fascinating sites to explore within a 20 km radius of the campsite.
