Not to be missed

Walk in the Pyrenees National Park and explore the beautiful lakes of Néouvielle Nature
Reserve (20 km).


Get off the beaten track

Walking route

A 2 hour tour departing from the Mont village. Key sights include St- Calixte church and Diable de Mont dairy.

Take a walk around the lake and explore the majestic Louron valley finishing with a chance to taste the “pastère aux pommes“ or traditional Pyrenean
apple-filled crepe in a typical Loudenvielle hostelry.


Driving route

A one-day tour. Heading towards Spain you will discover the south side of the Pyrenees. Key sights include the impressive chalk cliffs of La Peña Montanesa and the mediaeval town of Ainsa.


Local festivals and events

Transhumance Festival

Accompany the local shepherds and their herds of sheep right up to the Soula refuge, or at “Le Plateau de la Pez”. End of June, departing from Bridge of Prat.


Regional Traditions Fair

A fair reuniting sixty regional craftmen and producers. Many different events including folk dancing and Pyrenean songs. Second to last Sunday in August by Lake Loudenvielle.
